Having your computer go from “lightning fast” to “painfully slow” has happened to most of us. The sluggishness is in part due to how programs are installed and configured on your computer; even the programs that came pre-installed on your PC are sometimes incorrectly configured. Follow these 5 steps to help make your PC faster without having to buy expensive hardware or hiring an IT expert. 1. Remove unneeded programs from start-up When your computer boots, it automatically loads a bunch of programs into its memory so that they load faster when you actually need them. The trouble is, that these programs take up space on your RAM, which will slow down the overall performance of your PC. Open your task manager and click start-up to find and turn off all the programs that you do not need when your computer loads. If some Microsoft services like Service Host SuperFetch is using high CPU or RAM, then check this article to disable Service Host Superfetch. 2. Install CCleaner This Program is an easy to use scanning tool that will help you identify all the issues slowing down your computer. The scan feature is free. 3. Run the scan Upon installation This program will automatically run the scan and find and list all the small things that are bogging down your computer. You may choose to fix these problems yourself (although it is advisable that only computer experts attempt it themselves so that they do not break something in their configuration). You can also just buy a license for the utility for around $30 and it will automatically fix all the errors it identified. 4. Remove all unneeded programs and files A full hard drive can considerably slow down your computer. Be sure to only keep the programs that you actually need, and delete the large files from time to time. Go to “add/remove programs and applications” inside your control panel to remove programs. 5. Defragment your hard disk Windows comes with a neat utility that reorganizes data on your hard drives to make it faster to access. You should probably run this program every now and then to ensure your hard drives are organized in an optimal way. Open “my computer”, right-click the Open My Computer. Right-click the local disk volume that you want to defragment. Click Properties. On the Tools tab, click Defragment Now. Click Defragment. Recommended Software :Download ccleaner
